These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of TrustBar, including the website at www.trustbar.app, the TrustBar macOS app, and any related support, licensing, or download services.
By accessing or using TrustBar, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the app.
1. Eligibility and Use
You may use TrustBar only if you can legally enter into a binding agreement and use the product in compliance with applicable law. You are responsible for making sure your use of TrustBar, your connected services, and any data you access through the app are lawful.
2. License Scope
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, TrustBar grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app for your own personal or internal business use.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout, one TrustBar license may be active on up to two devices at the same time. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, lease, distribute, or make the product available to third parties except as expressly permitted by us in writing.
3. Purchases, Pricing, and Updates
TrustBar is a digital product offered as a one-time lifetime license unless we clearly state otherwise at the time of sale. Prices may change for future customers at any time, but price changes do not change rights already granted under a completed purchase.
We may provide fixes, improvements, and updates, including updates delivered through built-in mechanisms. Unless required by law or explicitly promised at checkout, we do not guarantee any specific update schedule, feature roadmap, or maintenance period.
Because TrustBar is a digital product, refunds are generally not available once a license has been issued and delivery has started, except where required by applicable law.
As a voluntary commercial policy, we may allow a refund request within 30 days of purchase if the license is fully deactivated, access to the product is terminated, and no fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, or breach of these Terms is involved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
4. Third-Party Services
TrustBar may depend on third-party platforms, infrastructure, and services, including macOS, payment providers, email providers, and external data sources such as TrustMRR.
Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, account actions, or the accuracy and availability of third-party data.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use TrustBar for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes;
- interfere with the security, integrity, or operation of the website, app, licensing flow, or related systems;
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- circumvent license limits, access controls, or security checks;
- use the product to distribute malware or harmful code.
6. Your Data and Credentials
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for maintaining the security of your devices, and for keeping access to your third-party accounts and API credentials under your control.
TrustBar is designed to store your TrustMRR API key locally in the macOS Keychain on your device. You remain responsible for how you use connected accounts and for any activity performed through those accounts.
7. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to TrustBar, disable a license, or refuse support if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, used the product unlawfully, or created risk for the product, other users, or third-party providers.
8. Disclaimer
TrustBar is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every workflow or business need.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustBar will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, use, or data arising out of or related to your use of the website or app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to TrustBar will not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant product or service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the publication date on this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@trustbar.app.
